According to three independent sources tracking the negotiations, a prominent group of venture funds led by Robot Ventures and USV is backing the round. This new financial injection pushes the tech startup market value up to a striking 1.5 billion dollars. The creators want to raise at least 75 million dollars in this specific round, and early reports show they have already drummed up significant interest from digital finance groups and private tech backers.

While the investment leads at USV and Robot Ventures chose to keep quiet when asked for public comment, the background math shows why the lab attracts so much interest. Just weeks after a rival tool named OpenClaw went viral on social networks, Nous Research answered back by launching its own flagship solution. Unlike standard web assistants, Hermes can run locally on a regular desktop computer or laptop, performing multi-step digital tasks on behalf of its user. The core software platform ships with integrated skills that let it manage web searches, write clean code, and interpret visual data like graphs and photos. The engineers also designed the underlying code to learn dynamically from user behavior, improving its output habits without needing manual engineering fixes from the developer. The studio also maintains a separate library of highly specialized models trained exclusively to handle complex mathematics and coding logic.

Everyday users can chat directly with the agent or automate remote digital chores by linking the code to standard messaging networks like Telegram and Discord.
